Let me show you exactly how to use Claude to create SEO content that sounds like you.
1. Start With Your Brand Voice (This Is Critical)
The best part? Claude can perfectly capture your writing style if you give it the right input.
Here's what to do:
- Create a new Claude project specifically for your SEO content
- Upload 3-5 samples of your best writing (blog posts, emails, anything that sounds like YOU)
- Tell Claude: "Analyze these samples and create a Voice Profile that captures my writing style, tone, vocabulary preferences, and sentence patterns"
Power Prompt: "Analyze these writing samples and create a detailed Voice Profile document that includes: 1) My typical sentence structure and length, 2) Vocabulary preferences and repeated phrases, 3) Transition patterns between topics, 4) How I typically open and close sections, and 5) My unique content organization patterns. Format this as a reference guide I can use for all future content creation."
This Voice Profile becomes your secret weapon for all content moving forward.
2. Build a Strategic Content Brief
Before writing anything, you need a solid plan.
Create a brief that includes:
- Your primary keyword and 5-7 related keywords
- The search intent (are people looking for information, tutorials, or comparisons?)
- 3-5 competitor articles currently ranking for your target keyword
- Your unique angle that makes your content different
Power Prompt: "I've uploaded 3 competitor articles ranking for [TARGET KEYWORD]. Analyze these articles and create a comprehensive content brief that includes: 1) Key topics they all cover that I must include, 2) Content gaps or weaknesses I can exploit, 3) Their word count, structure, and content depth, 4) A recommended outline that would allow me to create more valuable content than these competitors while naturally incorporating [LIST YOUR KEYWORDS]."
3. Create an Outline That Search Engines Love
Let me show you my exact prompt for creating SEO-optimized outlines:
Power Prompt: "Based on my Voice Profile and the content brief, create a detailed outline for an article about [TOPIC]. Structure it with H2s and H3s that incorporate my target keywords naturally. Include specific sections for addressing the main search intent, and note places to include personal experiences or examples that would strengthen the content. For each section, suggest 2-3 key points to cover and relevant statistics or examples I could include."
4. Generate The First Draft (The Right Way)
Here's the thing most people miss: generating the entire article at once usually leads to generic, forgettable content.
Instead:
- Generate section by section using your outline
- For each section, provide specific instructions related to that topic
- Include your personal experiences or insights for that particular section
Power Prompt: "Using my Voice Profile as a guide, write the [SPECIFIC SECTION] of my article about [TOPIC]. I want to include my personal experience about [YOUR EXPERIENCE]. Make sure this section addresses [SPECIFIC SEARCH INTENT] while naturally incorporating these keywords: [LIST RELEVANT KEYWORDS]. Match my typical paragraph length, transition style, and vocabulary preferences from my Voice Profile."
This approach creates much more authentic, detailed content than trying to generate everything at once.
5. Enhance With Strategic SEO Elements
Once you have your draft, it's time to optimize it.
Ask Claude to:
- Suggest a compelling meta description using your primary keyword
- Create 3-5 potential titles that include your keyword while generating curiosity
- Identify opportunities to add relevant internal linking suggestions
- Recommend places for helpful images, videos, or infographics
Power Prompt: "Review my draft article and recommend specific SEO enhancements including: 1) 5 potential titles that include my target keyword [KEYWORD] while generating reader curiosity, 2) A compelling meta description under 155 characters, 3) Suggestions for internal linking opportunities, 4) Places where visuals would enhance understanding, and 5) Any opportunities to naturally include additional related keywords I might have missed. For each suggestion, explain why it would improve search performance."
6. Edit for Your Authentic Voice
The best part of using Claude is how well it can adapt to your feedback.
Power Prompt: "Compare this content draft against my Voice Profile document. Identify any sections that don't match my typical writing style and suggest specific revisions. Focus on: 1) Sentence structure and length, 2) Transition phrases, 3) Vocabulary choices, 4) Overall tone and emphasis patterns. For each suggested revision, show both the current text and your recommended rewrite that would better match my authentic voice."
This extra step ensures your SEO content still sounds like YOU wrote it, not some AI assistant.
7. Launch, Track, and Refine
SEO isn't "set it and forget it." Create a system to:
- Track how your content ranks for target keywords
- Monitor user engagement metrics (time on page, bounce rate)
- Identify opportunities to update and expand your content
Power Prompt: "I published this article [X] months ago targeting [KEYWORD]. I've uploaded the current article and 2 newer competitor articles that are now ranking higher. Analyze all three and recommend specific updates I should make including: 1) New information or statistics to add, 2) Sections to expand based on changing search intent, 3) Additional keywords to incorporate, and 4) Structural changes that would improve reader engagement and search visibility. Be specific about exactly what to change and why."
Why This Process Works When Others Fail
So most people try to use AI as a magic button. They enter a keyword, generate a full article, and wonder why it doesn't rank.
My approach uses Claude as a strategic partner in your content creation process. You're still bringing your expertise, experiences, and unique angle.
Claude is just helping you structure and express it in a way that resonates with both readers and search engines.
Once you've created your Voice Profile and set up your process, you can create highly effective SEO content in about a third of the time it would normally take.
