#6 Stop using AI wrong: The 5-minute content framework

Hey Creators!

Welcome to the sixth edition of Automatic Prompting. ☕️

After analyzing hundreds of AI prompts from creators, I've noticed something: 90% of people make the same mistake when it comes to prompting.

They're treating AI like the end-all, be-all.

Today, I'm sharing my simple framework for AI content writing that's helping creators publish 3x faster WITHOUT sacrificing quality.

No more generic, robotic-sounding content.

What You'll Learn In 5 Minutes Or Less

  • The "bad vs. good" prompt technique
  • My 4-part prompt formula
  • Real example: Writing a coffee guide
  • The time needed: 10 minutes to learn, a lifetime to master

The Deep Dive

Let's start with what most people get wrong. Here's a typical 'bad' prompt: 'Write an email'

This is like walking into a coffee shop and saying, 'Coffee, please.' You'll get something, but probably not what you want.

Here's the 4-part formula I use instead:

  1. PURPOSE: Tell AI exactly what you want to achieve Example: "Write a friendly welcome email..."
  2. AUDIENCE & CONTEXT: Who is this for, and what's the situation? For example, "...to a new subscriber who just joined our coffee brewing newsletter..."
  3. SPECIFICATIONS: Include format, length, tone, and key details Example: "...make it 200 words, use 8th grade reading level, include a subject line..."
  4. UNIQUE ELEMENTS: Add your personal touch or special requirements Example: "...mention my experience running three coffee shops and add a touch of humor about burning more than just coffee beans..."

🔑 Key Insight: The more context you give AI, the better it performs.

Let me show you this in action in the example output below.

The Example Output

❌ BAD PROMPT: "Write an article about cleaning coffee makers"

✅ GOOD PROMPT: "Write a 500-word article about how to clean your coffee maker in under 5 minutes. Follow proper heading hierarchy, add line breaks, and stick with the ninth-grade reading level. Include:

  • Meta description
  • Strong hook about bacteria in coffee makers
  • Essential cleaning tools section
  • Step-by-step 5-minute cleaning guide
  • Personal experience context of cleaning thousands of machines"

📝 HERE'S WHAT AI GENERATED:

[HOOK]

Is your morning coffee tasting bitter and funky?

Your coffee maker might be harboring more bacteria than your kitchen sink, and yes, that is as gross as it sounds.

As someone who's run three coffee shops and scrubbed thousands of coffee makers,

I've perferected the art of speed cleaning these machines.

Today, I'm sharing my simple 5-minute method that will change your coffee maker from grimy to gleamy.

[CLEANING SOLUTION SECTION] Step 1: The Vinegar Solution Mix

Machine Size | Vinegar | Water | Total Solution | Best For Small (1-4 cups) | 1 cup | 2 cups | 3 cups | Daily cleaning Medium (5-8 cups) | 2 cups | 3 cups | 5 cups | Weekly maintenance Large (9-12 cups) | 3 cups | 4 cups | 7 cups | Deep cleaning

Mix your solution according to your machine size. This ratio ensures optimal cleaning without leaving any vinegar aftertaste in your next brew.

🔍 NOTICE HOW:

  • The hook uses a surprising fact about bacteria
  • Each section has clear formatting
  • We included specific measurements in a table
  • The content maintains a conversational tone
  • Personal experience adds credibility

We turned vague input into detailed, actionable content with just this framework.

The best part?

This took less than 5 minutes to generate, leaving us more time to edit and add personal touches.
